Waitress kept interrupting while I placed my order. I came in wanting a salad, she kept interrupting, wanted to get me to order a special. I don't want all the carbs and asked for the fish dinner with a dinner salad instead of corn, potatoes etc. I got the plate with two pieces of fish, two hush puppies and a side salad. The bill came $8.99 for the fish and $1.99 for the salad! So I asked the cashier. I was rudely told they don't do substitutions. I pointed out that I was not told that...he said he would talk to the waitress. We eat there frequently... mostly breakfast and lunch, the waitresses are amazing and bend over backwards for the customers.I would not recommend the Friday night service ever!!

No social distancing, place was packed, no masks, no gloves, basically a petri dish. Go at your own risk in the coronaverse. Food was okay for southern food.

This is a cute cafe/diner that is a little way off the highway. It is decorated with so many interesting antiques and collectibles. It is fun to walk around and check it out. The staff is wonderful and the food was really good!

Holli has amazing customer service.. My baby was grumpy and thought he needed a drink asap... She went and got him a drink and it made his night! She was sweet and I really appreciate the service I received.. Thank you

We was there today order all u can eat catfish the waitress Ash never come back to our table ask we want any more catfish or refill on our drink it was poor service we won't be back and that was our first time there

Good food slow service. Not enough servers for the lunch hour rush. Big portions. 3 egg omelette, hash browns, toast and fresh orange juice.

This place has A LOT of character inside!!! Staff is very friendly. I've only tried the grilled chicken salad but it was very enjoyable! The salad was so large I couldn't hardly eat it all. I was shocked to find out they even sell chili beans!! I will go back to try them soon. There's a large parking space so semi tractor trailers can park (I was in one). I love all of the decorations at this cafe. A country southern feel with that southern hospitality! Check them out of your near!!

Haven't eaten here yet. Just went in to look and get a menue. Appears nice and clean. Friendly folks. Very helpful. Answered all my question very eager. Looks family orientated. Looking forward to a group of us going there.

Happened on this cafe because we stopped along the highway for gas and a couple things at Wal-Mart and found it was close. Good find. Fun decor, great service and tasty food. I had one of the specials, beef stew with a scoop of chili on top accompanied by cornbread. I thought stew and chili were an odd combo, but decided to give it a try and it was really good. The stew was more a chunky soup, not thickened, but I'm not complaining; plenty of meat and lots of vegetables in big chunks. Then the chili (no beans and not too spicy) gave it an extra dimension. Husband had fried catfish and ate it all up. I would return if we are in the area again.

Excellent service! This place has a large selection of entrees. A little something for everyone. I enjoy the daily specials; reasonably priced and a nice sized serving. The staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Good food. The service was great. We had a party of 17. The place had plenty of room for us. We ordered together and received our food together. They were prompt at filling our drinks and any requests we had.

This was mom and pop diner style dining at its best! We got the catfish and chicken fried steak. Both were battered lightly and fluffy and didn't skimp on the meat at all. The food wasn't greasy and my only regret is that we live in Dallas and it's not easy to come back.

Great place to stop in for a bite to eat 🥘🍴 P.S. yes I couldn’t decide on which pie so I split coconut cream & pecan with my friend John 😂 🥧

Server was super friendly and the food was really good and fast. My catfish wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was pretty up there. My wife's steak fingers were melt-in-your-mouth tender. We will be back!

They have great home made food

The catfish and chicken chunks were really good, but it took forever for our food to come out (over an hour) I don't generally complain about this, but there were three separate tables that were sat well after us that not only got their food first, but left before we'd even gotten ours. I honestly think our ticket got pocketed and put in only after I said something to the waitress. I asked for a loaded baked potato and got only butter. After asking for the rest of my fixings I only received sour cream. . .needless to say it wasn't the best potato. And the corn and green beans were like mush. The meat portion of the meal was actually pretty good, but definitely not worth what we paid.

What food is delicious the portions are huge and the service is always wonderful. I cannot recall her name at the moment but shes the best server I've ever had and I've been a server.

It's was very reasonable. I had the Chicken Fry it was a little tough but it was good. It was so huge I had to get a to go box. The decor was awesome! Next time I go I may have the beans and cornbread or maybe go on Friday or Saturday and have Catfish yummy!

The burgers were great, didn't come with fries, and none were suggested so that was weird not a huge deal. One person in our group ordered a BLT and the waitress asked if she wanted French Fries instead of chips, but then charged $2.49 for them. In our mind instead means an even trade and if there is an upcharge, we should have been told.

The food here is always fresh, I recommend this place to anyone looking for great food. Holli is in the right place to work she loves here job! She has checked on us and and made sure our drinks wasn't ever below half full. She made sure my children was well taken care of she is a very nice lady. Thank you for all that you done for my family..

Try their daily deal! They are reasonably priced and delectable. Even something as simple as baked potato with pepper and tomato and sour cream tasted so yumm.

Portions are HUGE!!! The food was really good and facilities were ok. You can go for pretty cheap and the decor was very cool. But the portions were ridiculously big.

On my lunch break and decided on sonny's , boy it was the best experience I've had and the best lunch I've had in a good while the staff is so friendly and fast and make you feel like family I had the honor of having holli as my waitress and she made it the absolute best dining experience food was fresh and had so much flavor if you want home cooked fresh food this is the place to go

Sonny's is great! I stopped to pick up dinner and had my dog with me. They came out, got my card and brought me my food so I didn't have to leave the dog in the car in the heat. The food was awesome too!
